Problems can arise for all sorts of reasons and can reduce the quality of life for your dog and sometimes even impact upon the animal-owner relationship. My behaviour service will help you understand your dog's behaviour and support you as an owner, to put into place strategies that will make life easier for everyone.
All behaviour consultations require a veterinary referral to ensure the problems are not due to an underlying medical condition. You can contact your vet with the referral form below, or I can contact your vets directly with your permission.
AJ Behaviour Solutions work on identifying how your pet feels when it shows a particular behaviour. In addition to considering the dog's motivation, genetic traits and any environmental triggers, I can then identify your dog's needs and put together a personalised treatment plan to support you in helping your dog develop a different response to a situation.
Please bear in mind that there are no 'quick fixes' to behaviour problems. You will be required to commit to the treatment plan as advised and encouraged to make use of the support and follow-up services.
Please refer to our FAQ page for more information about the consultation process.

As part of the service, I will send you a written report within 5 days of the consultation detailing the diagnosis as well as a breakdown of the treatment plan. I will talk you through the reasons behind the behaviour and the treatment options available as well as giving you a few things to work on to kick start the plan before the end of the consultation. E-mail and telephone support is available for 10 weeks after the visit.
