TERMS AND CONDITIONS


These Terms and Conditions are in place for the safety and welfare of our clients. It is the responsibility of clients to read these terms and conditions in full.  

 

Please make sure you have read and understood the terms and conditions before you make a booking. By placing a booking, you are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to them.

 

AJ Behaviour Solutions activities are entirely at the risk of the participant. 

 

AJ Behaviour Solutions may move sessions online at their own discretion. This may be due, but not limited to, weather or health restrictions. 

 

AJ Behaviour Solutions may occasionally take photo and videos. Please make us aware if you do not wish these to appear on our website, social media or used in professional development webinars.

 

Information given during any session is believed to be true and accurate at the date which it is delivered. However, AJ Behaviour Solutions will not take responsibility for any misinterpretation of this advice.

 

Bookings

Payment in full is required at the time of booking. Bookings are not confirmed until full payment has been received.  Payment must be received within 48 hours of booking otherwise the space will be made publicly available again.  

Confirmation of your booking will be sent via email. This may go into the client’s junk folder. Checking there is the client’s responsibility. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they arrive at the right venue at the correct time.

 

Dogs health and well being

AJ Behaviour Solutions does not allow any form of harsh handling and the business’ ethos is built around the use of proven kind and effective techniques.  Consequently, AJ Behaviour Solutions does not allow the use of any piece of equipment that can cause pain and discomfort. This includes slip leads, choke chains, pinch collars, shock collars, citronella collars, rattle cans, spray bottles, compressed air canisters or any other device or method that can potentially cause harm, pain, suffering or fear to the dog. Any clients who continue to use such methods including harsh handling, despite being asked, will have the session terminated and will not be allowed to rebook. 

 

Dog’s health and wellbeing is paramount to AJ Behaviour Solutions. Dogs with any condition which is infectious such as kennel cough should not be placed into an environment where it can mix with other dogs. If you are unsure of the cause of your dog symptoms, then a vet must be consulted. 

 

Dogs should be vaccinated or have a titre test to prove immunity levels for all sessions occurring outside the owner’s home. Puppies who haven’t finished their vaccination course will not be trained outside of the owner’s house and/or garden by AJ Behaviour Solutions. 

 

Insurance

Handlers and/or owners always remain responsible for their dogs and are advised to ensure they have adequate pet or household insurance cover for liability in the unlikely event of damage or injury caused by their dog to property or to a third party.

AJ Behaviour has public liability and general insurance suitable for a dog training business. 

 

Equipment and Clothing

Training involves practical handling and means appropriate shoes and clothing is a must. Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended for safety reasons. Some training does require clients to get down on the ground and therefore suitable clothing is recommended.

 

Clients are expected to have the means to clean up after their dogs when in public places.  All dogs must be kept under control and on a lead attached to a harness in public areas. 

 

Cancellations 

Cancellations by Us: In the event that we need to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances, it will either be rescheduled at a later date or a full refund will be made to the client within 14 days of the cancellation date. Notification of cancellation will be made to the client by email. Refunds can and will only be made by the same method the original payment was received.  Should this occur on the actual date of the session, we will attempt to make contact by telephone wherever possible.  

 

Cancellations by clients: If you are unable to make an appointment, please let us now as soon as possible. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required if you wish to reschedule an appointment. The full cost of the session will be charged for non-appearance* or 50% of the session fee if less than 48 hours notice is given. Refunds cannot be given after a training package has started. All training package sessions should be taken within a 4-month time frame.

* Non-appearance is classed as failure to turn up or being late for the session. Only the remaining time left of the booked slot will be given where late arrival occurs.

 

Rescheduling appointments: appointments will only be rescheduled twice during the period of your training package. Repeated rescheduling requests beyond this will not be accommodated, any remaining sessions within a package cancelled and a refund will not be given.
